Cyber Criminals Take Over FitBit User Accounts to Make False Warranty Claims:
On January 6, it was reported that cybercriminals are reusing stolen users' credentials for account takeovers to conduct warranty fraud on users' FitBit accounts. The credentials are either stolen directly from the customer’s computers that have been compromised via keylogging and other related password-stealing malware, or purchased from underground market places. Once a FitBit account has been compromised, cybercriminals change the user's FitBit account email address and make a false warranty claims in order to request a brand new FitBit device.
