An Ethical Hacking contest from TCS – Enterprise Security and Risk Management Unit
The need for more effective information security practices is increasingly evident with the rise in number and complexity of the security breaches today. Ethical hacking skills help information security professionals implement the strongest possible security practices. It’s as much about finding and fixing security vulnerabilities as it is anticipating them. Through this contest, TCS ESRM is looking for students who have a flair for ethical hacking and are potential future cyber security researchers.
An online portal will throw a set of challenges to the registered participants which they are required to crack to move on. Each challenge would evaluate their hacking skills and their competence in finding vulnerabilities. Selected participants would then move for a face to face technical interview round on cyber security.
The contest is open for the 2017 batch engineering students (BTech/Mtech/BCA/MCA) from all the relevant institutes in India.
The contest is for students from Computer Science, IT and Circuit Branches namely Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation and Instrumentation.
Up to 10 candidates who clears the round 2 will be declared as winners of the contest and will receive Offer Letters for a job /position in TCS’ cyber security team subject to fulfilling the applicable terms and conditions that govern the process. Few Amazon Kindles will also be rewarded to the deserving candidates who perform well in round 2. However, it is important to note here that number of candidates clearing the second round is not compulsory to be 10 and may vary. The final decision will be of TCS only.
